Information 99'S Museum of Women Pilots & hotels near 99'S Museum of Women Pilots
Located on the second floor of the International Headquarters building of the Ninety-Nines in Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is the 99s Museum of Women Pilots. With over 5,000 square feet of space the 99s maintain a library, collection of artifacts, items, papers, educational material and exhibits on international women pilots the world over. Learn about female innovator in flight Amelia Earhart all the way through to the women who journey into outer space today. Also be sure to visit the section on women aviators in militaries all over the world, like the WASPS or Women Airforce Service Pilots of the U.S., the Russian Night Witches, the Civil Air Patrol, women combat pilots and more. The Ninety-Nines, an international non-profit organization of licensed women pilots, today has members from 35 countries. It was inaugurated on November 2, 1929 in Long Island, New York, and its first president, Amelia Earhart, was elected in the 1930s. Visit the museum from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am-4pm on Saturdays. Admissions are $5 for guests 10 and over, $3 for guests aged 4 to 10, and free for guests 3 and under.
