The town of Kemer lies on the shores of the Gulf of Antalya, in Mediterranean Turkey. It is backed by the Taurus Mountains, and with its warm, sunny climate, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
Kemer is an old town, but it was not until the early 1900’s, when a wall was built around the town to protect it from storms, that it began to be known by that name. In fact, until the 1960’s, there was no road access to the town.
