The White House is no doubt the main attraction in Washington DC, founded in 1790, and the capital of the United States.
Washington DC, founded on July 16 1790, is the capital of the United States.
Washington DC is a huge city, with much to offer in the way of things to see and do. Just a few of these are Fort Reno Park, Rock Creek Park, the US National Arboretum, the Washington Monument, the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, Old Stone House, the Friendship Arch, museums and historic sites, the National Zoo, the National Gallery of Art, the performing arts, sports, and much, much, more.
Of course, in a city of this size, there are shops and places to shop in just about every street corner. There are hundreds of shops of all types to be found in Washington DC.
There are also virtually thousands of restaurants and other eateries in the city. Some of them are Tasty DC, Singles Diner Network, Sbarro, George Green Restaurant, Subway, Quick Pita, and Nacho Fast, to name but a very few.
